Travel and hours

Travel and after-hours fees for a mobile drip

The travel fee is what you pay for a nurse spending the whole appointment with one person instead of rotating through a clinic room. It is also the part of the bill that moves most, up with distance and unsocial hours, and down sharply the moment anyone else books at the same address.

  • Charged once per visit
  • Scales with distance
  • Shared across a group

What moves it

The two things that move a travel fee

Distance is the first and the obvious one. A visit across the city takes more of a nurse's day than one a few streets away, and the fee reflects that. Anywhere unusually far is quoted before you book rather than added afterwards, which is the part that matters.

Hours are the second. Late evenings, overnight and public holidays carry an after-hours premium on top. Those windows are exactly the ones travellers and same-day bookings tend to want, so knowing the premium in advance is worth more than discovering it later.

Collected travel fees in this market run around $50 to $100 for a standard mobile visit. See group pricing and service areas. Every figure on this page is a published-menu range collected from this market and dated. It is not a quote for your visit. iv therapy cost cover the rest of it.

Paying less travel

Four ways to reduce the travel fee

  1. Book with someone else

One fee at one address regardless of how many people are seen. Two neighbours booking together each pay half. Four guests at a venue pay a quarter each. This is by far the largest lever.

  2. Take a standard window

A weekday afternoon avoids the after-hours premium entirely. The same nurse and the same bag cost less on a Tuesday than late on a Saturday.

  3. Give the address early

A full address with postal code and unit at booking sets the fee accurately. Vague addresses get conservative quotes, which are rarely in your favour.

  4. Say what the access is like

A walk-up, a broken buzzer, no parking or a gated block all cost time. Two lines about access at booking keeps the window honest and the visit efficient.

Further out

What changes when you are outside the centre

Two things, and neither is the care. The fee scales with the drive, and the arrival window widens, because a promise that depends on a clear run across a city is not a promise. You still get a message when your nurse is genuinely on the way.

What does not change is the blend, the intake, who places the line or how long they stay. A visit an hour out runs exactly as one ten minutes from base does, with the same clinical approval behind it.

Common questions

Miami travel fee questions, answered

What it covers, when premiums apply, and how to pay less of it.

Collected in this market at roughly $50 to $100 for a standard mobile visit. It scales with distance, and anywhere unusually far is quoted before you book rather than added afterwards. A range, not a quote.
No, once per visit. That is why three people at one address usually pay less each than one person booking alone, and why group bookings are the cheapest way to have a mobile drip.
Late evenings, overnight and public holidays. Those are the windows same-day bookings and travellers most often want, so it is worth asking the premium before booking rather than after.
The arrival window widens, because a tight window further out depends on a clear run nobody can promise. The blend, the intake, who places the line and how long they stay are all identical.
Because a nurse spends the travel time and the whole appointment with one person rather than rotating through a room. That premium is the travel fee, and it shrinks fast in company.
Tell us about access at booking. A walk-up, a buzzer that does not work, no parking or a gated entrance are all fine when known in advance and all cost ten minutes when they are not.

Assumed I was too far out. Quoted the fee up front and arrived inside the window.

They asked whether anyone else in the building wanted one. That question saved me forty dollars.

The premium windows are flagged while you choose, not after. Small thing, avoided a surprise.

Two-hour window because of distance. Fair, though I had to keep the afternoon clear.
